It's here!
Every year about this time I am surprised that I can smell Spring. It's a wonderful phenomenon and just as astounding every time I experience it.
I went for a walk around Newport Lakes (2 minutes from home)and Spring followed me. The wattle are in flower and although I never liked them in home gardens they are divine in a natural setting. Although I think the Aussie colour green and gold are kind of daggy, I understand why we have them when I see wattle in flower.
My parents were right to name me after the goddess of spring. This is truly my time of year.
