Mr. Blue and I are considering blowing our savings and not buying a house. Instead we plan to travel around the world (or as far as our meager savings will take us). Well I just got an email from him.

US govt bans Vegemite

The US has banned importation of icky Australian delicacy Vegemite (a brown gunky spread that is simultaneously delicious and gross), enraging Aussie expats in the US, who require a steady supply of Vegemite in order to remain functional.

The reason for this ban, the fact that Vegemite has folate in it! WTF! Adverts' here promote the fact that Vegemite is high in B vitamins (folate) which is an essential part of a woman's diet pre pregnancy (that's why we all grow up big and strong, our mums all ate Vegemite)

I find it odd, that a place where you can purchase Sausages on a Stick covered in Chocolate Chip Pankakes (or the healthy alternative: sausages on a stick covered in blueberry pancakes) has a problem with a simple Vitamin.
