While out with a few friends the other night, I made a revelation that seemed to shock most of the people at my table. I know I can't possibly be the only person who feels this way, so if anybody reading this agrees with me, please respond.
I hate cotton wool!
yes I'm talking about that soft, fluffy, white stuff. I'm cringing as I write about it. The thought of cotton wool makes me react in the same way that most people do when somebody scratches their nails down a chalk-board. Ok, if you're pulling a face after reading that, I have the same animosity to cotton wool balls.
I hate touching the stuff. Ewwwwwww, I really am having trouble writing this. I can not get manicures because they use it to clean off old nail polish, I can not get pedicures because they occasionally use them to separate toes. One thing I do get often is blood tests, Oh I hate that question that always comes at the end. . . "Could you just put some pressure on this for a minute?" Would it be rude to ask If they could use a tissue instead? Once while in hospital They tried to give me a cotton ball soaked in water to hold to my lips!

I can deal with cotton buds, I don't like them but find them a necessity.
