I just completed my 27th journey around the sun. It was long. I think I may have grown up this time 'round. I hope not.
Song running through head: "Why was she born so beautiful? Why was she born at all? Because she had no say in it, no say in it at all"
Three things run through my head after that
- Does anyone actually know the rest of the words?
- Is that an Aussie thing or do people in other countries sing it at birthdays too?
- Nice, rhyming all with all. . .that songwriter had talent.
My dad turned up at my house on his new motorbike this morning (mid-life crisis No.4) and took us out for lunch. It's the first time he's actually remembered my birthday (ever) so that was nice. We walked down to a restaurant by the bay and sat outside in the sun eating good food, drinking wine and having great conversation.
I worked from 4-9pm, Sunday evenings are always quiet and I can actually enjoy the beautiful property.
Mr. Blue has hired a boat for 4 hours tomorrow so we're going to putt around the bay. We're packing a picnic lunch to have on board. I hope we don't get lost, you know what happened to Gilligan and we have a whole extra hour
Song running through head: "A three hour tour, a three hour tour""
Must remember:
- Sunscreen
- Hat (I am captain after all. Do I have to get Mr.Blue a first mates hat?)
- Sunglasses
- Camera
- Lunch
- Water (for drinking, I'm sure there'll be plenty for floating)
Right now I'm sitting here eating Sweet Chilly Sauce straight out of the jar, I really should be careful with my midnight snacks you may remember the Sushi Incident if you read here often. It's hot (my nose is running) and sweet which is nice.
Song running through head: Mash-up of The Australian National Anthem to the tune of Gilligan's Island. . .It actaully works. If you know the words give it a go.
Bon Voyage,
Little Lada Blue
