Well I'm back and although I had an amazing time I had this wonderful feeling when I looked out of the plane window and saw the small Islands under Australian Territory, This is odd because it's still a 4 hour flight to home from there.
I often get asked "Where I'm from" which I guess is a normal question in a Multicultural country people usually aren't happy with the answer "Australia of course" and I have to continue and explain that my parents are Croatian or as my friend Mile says I'm made in Australia, but a product of Croatia. Once I'm out of Melbourne as far as say Geelong, the closest city, this speech starts with "I'm from Melbourne".
I was surprised at how many people in the Philippines had no idea where Australia is. Every one had heard of it and yes I got the usual questions of whether I had a Kangaroo for a pet and Koalas in my back yard. I even had to explain to one person that Australia is no where near Germany or Europe for that matter, that we're actually in the same part of the world as them, South-East Asia.
Any who, I'm little buggered so I'm off for now. I'll fill you in on my journeys a little later.
