It's four years today since I started playing here at Mindsay. I'm saving the "BIG" post for next year unless I get lazy and just do a slightly longer version of this post.
How does one mark the occasion of 4 years of community, slowly learning a whole new language and meeting friends I've never met. . .
I guess I'll play an old Mindsay game (shortened to make it more appropriate for the occasion)
4 things you may not know about me:
1.) I butter my sandwiches on the outside (only the top)
2.) I whisper "No said the others!" (a line from a children's book I wrote in 1997) on a nightly basis. . often more than once a night, for no apparent reason.
3.) I live in the heart of a C.B.D, in the geographical centre of Sydney, but it still takes me around 45 minutes to get to the hotel I sometimes work at, which itself is only a stones throw from the Opera house.
4.) I currently have Corn, Butter Beans, Nasturtiums, Vietnamese Mint, Thai Chilly, Parsley, Lettuce, Chives, Basil, Catnip, Sage, Thyme, Wormwood (which I think may be dying) and Aloe Vera growing in 5 pots on my balcony.
I did have Dill (which I added to a wonderful Cucumber soup- don't turn your nose up until you've tasted my Cucumber soup OK) which died and Corriander that also didn't make it.
Thank you all,
