I hope I shant grow anymore. . .
Alas! It was too late to wish that! She went on growing and growing.
(Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland)
I personally didn't start with a little bottle labeled DRINK ME, or even a cake marked EAT ME, somehow I grew, now it wasn't all my own doing. Over medication, major surgery, hormonal imbalances and of course laziness contributed and I grew and grew and grew. . .
At my largest I weighed 95kg. I got treatment for my hormonal problem and stopped medication and much of the weight went on it's own. I'm now down to 72kg, and the rest of the trip to my goal weight of 65kg is going to involve some work. My best friend Gus and I will be working together to get healthy and happy.
My diet is quite good. Being a vegetarian means I spend a lot of time planning meals and reading labels to keep my food free from animal products and my nutrition balanced. Gus and I both enjoy cooking so I'm sure we will be able to manage our diet well.
I know that a gym membership isn't necessary. I wish we could afford one though, because I know that would make our journey much easier as far as toning up goes. We both like to walk and dance away most of our weekends so some of our Cardiovascular exercise is covered the vital resistance training will have to be improvised though.
We will be documenting our journey in a special journal titled "FAT DIARY" . .hmmmm, not very positive I know. . .as it's just my journal, I will respect Gus' privacy and not give you the address, though I will keep you updated here as to how we are going
Wish us Luck
