I have discovered some things about myself recently, the first of which I find quite disturbing.
Now I don't think that I have a "strong" Australian accent. . .until I get behind the wheel. I have noticed that my inner okker Aussie comes out when I'm annoyed at another driver.
"Ge ouf tha blahdy road may, wha you think ya blinkers for? decoration?"
(Translation: Get off the bloody road mate, what do you think your indicators are for? A decoration?)
Now I don't say these things in anger, just quietly to myself in that lighthearted Australian way. . .and it's not just me! Since noticing my inner okker, I've noticed it in my friends, they do it as well.
My second discovery also involves my car. I have realised that I am terrified when inflating my tires. Now this has always been the case, I've always cringed and looked away while doing it, after some reflection, I now know why. . .it's quite absurd. I am scared that the tires will explode. Why this is I don't know. I've never heard of it happening before to anyone else. I even use one of those pumps where you set the pressure first so it's impossible to "over inflate". Odd I know this fear is unreasonable, still it's there.
Finally on a totally unrelated topic. I have a survey! now there is only one question (well two-ish), please reply with an answer. Do you rinse the soap off the dishes after you wash them and why? My best friend Gus seems to think this is a futile practice and that I'm in the minority, I just want to know if this is the case. . .now that I think about it for a laugh, Could you post the answer on his blog (nb blog)even though his current post is unrelated, don't worry, he'll get it and find it funny. Don't mention me (though he'll know), just answer (eg. I always rinse my dishes, because it's hygienic). Thanks Guys
