I was trying to figure out what was missing for me in Sydney, well apart from family, friends, potato cakes and the ability to drive.

Then it occurred to me. . . an Art's community.

I was reading the local paper on Thursday evening when I noticed that some government subsidised artists studios had opened up a short walk from my new apartment. I went to their Website and found that the applications had closed on the 31st of March. . .that wasn't going to stop this little bullshit artist. I couldn't call the studios until yesterday (Tuesday) because of Public holidays.

I phoned and spoke to the administrator and asked if i could come in to have a look around.

I just got back and he accepted my application!!!

Wish me luck. I should find out if I get an interview some time this week, mine was added to the top of a rather large pile and there are only so many studios to go around
