So we're flying to Abu Dhabi with Etihad on Wednesday. . .or is it Thursday (I really should check that). We were looking around their website when we came across this:
"The following pets are accepted for travel, subject to the shipment meeting all necessary requirements.
• Birds
• Cats
• Dogs (excluding any snub-nosed types)
• Falcons*"
Falcons* WTF. . .now I'm really curious as to what the * is for and what is a snub-nosed dog?
"* Falcons are allowed inside the aircraft cabin on Etihad flights. Please check with your local Etihad office for terms and conditions."
Ok, clicking on the Etihad Office link -I so wish I had a falcon now. . .it says allowed IN THE CABIN!
"Pets in cabin – Weight Concept

• Up to 2 additional falcons can be carried when an extra seat is purchased within same class. No excess baggage charges for the additional falcons will apply
Pearl Business Class

Note: The charge for each additional seat purchased will be the fare applicable for an adult guest occupying the seat. This applies to all travel classes and charges will depend on the number of seats, the travel class and sector of travel. Guests are not entitled to any additional free baggage allowance for the additional seat(s) purchased for falcons."
LOL, OMG. . .So, it's restricted to falcons only hey. . .and I was worried about sneaking my knitting on board.
This kind of reminds me of when I was on a ferry in the Philippines, I noticed that one guy had paid for a first class ticket for his rooster while he travelled out the back sitting on a crate.
I really wish I had a falcon now!
